Reportedly maharashtra Chief minister Eknath Shinde on tuesday announced poll promises by the ruling Mahayuti alliance for the upcoming state assembly elections on november 20. The Mahayuti government comprises of Shinde’s Shiv Sena, the BJP, ajit pawar led NCP, and smaller allied parties in the state. Shinde launched the alliance manifesto at a public meeting in Kolhapur North, Maharashtra. He was also accompanied by his Deputy Chief Ministers, devendra fadnavis and Ajit Pawar.
Meanwhile the guarantees include an increase in monthly assistance for women under the “Ladki Bahin" scheme, from Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 2,100, along with a plan to recruit 25,000 women into the police force to improve safety. For farmers, the manifesto includes a farm loan waiver and an expansion of the Shetkari Samman Yojana, which would see annual financial assistance for farmers increase from Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 15,000. A 20% subsidy on the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for agricultural produce is also part of the proposal.
Moreover other key promises include an increase in the monthly pension for senior citizens, raising it from Rs. 1,500 to Rs. 2,100, as well as a plan to create 25 lakh new jobs. The manifesto also promises educational support, with Rs. 10,000 in monthly tuition aid for 10 lakh students pursuing specialised training programmes. Other key promises were better roads in rural area, monthly honorarium and health cover to Anganwadi and ASHA workers, 30% reduction in power bills and emphasis on solar energy.
