At IIFA Utsavam this year, samantha Ruth Prabhu took home the Woman of the Year honor. However, Rana Daggubati, one of the show's hosts, wasn't in the mood to let her leave the stage after her moving speech without making fun of her.

Vicky Kaushal presented samantha with the prize, and she spoke passionately about her return after a hiatus due to illness. Rana made a joke once she finished, saying, "Samantha went from tollywood to Hollywood." She burst out laughing as she said, "I went from sister-in-law to sister."

In response to his observation that she doesn't do many telugu films, she said, "If I do a film, it should be like narasimha Naidu, not Rana Naidu." However, he said, "That's not cinema, sister, it's a show," which made Rana want to continue the conversation. I found out from Family Man that you can do anything you want with it.

He said that he used to refer to her by a different name in the past. He asked her, "Where did comedy sam go? I've called her samantha Ruthless Prabhu since we were kids." "Comedy Sam...controversial sam," she retorted. Good night, she went to sleep. The show was co-hosted by teja Sajja and Rana.

How is Rana, and samantha related?
For those who don't know, samantha dated naga chaitanya intermittently for a few years before her marriage, which lasted from 2017 to 2021. On the Daggubati side of the family, chaitanya is Rana's cousin. He and sobhita dhulipala are now engaged.

Before he married Amala, Chaitanya's father, actor Nagarjuna, was married to Rana's aunt, lakshmi Daggubati, from 1984 until 1990. The only time Rana and samantha collaborated was when she made a brief appearance in the 2016 tamil movie Bangalore Naatkal, which was a remake of Bangalore Days.
