Following Donald Trump's resounding win in the presidential election, his granddaughter Kai trump shared a happy family photo that went viral—not because of who was absent, but because of Elon Musk, who was there.

In a placement that looked both meaningful and subtle, the billionaire CEO of SpaceX and tesla stood on the fringe of the trump family circle while carrying his son. Melania trump, Trump's wife, was noticeably absent in the meanwhile.

Kai wrote, "The whole squad," as the caption for the picture, leading to rumors that Musk, who became Trump's staunchest supporter throughout the election campaign, is now almost family to the president-elect.

Musk frequently attended Trump's election-night celebration at his florida Mar-a-Lago estate. He was spotted interacting with visitors, sometimes holding his four-year-old kid on his shoulders, when he wasn't tweeting about the outcome. In addition to retweeting Kai's post, the tech tycoon shared a picture of himself with trump and young X with the message, "Novus Ordo Seclorum," which is Latin for "a new order of the ages."

Musk, who openly supported trump following a July assassination attempt, contributed over $100 million to the 78-year-old Republican's reelection campaign, actively campaigned in crucial areas, and used his social media platform, X, to disparage rivals and mobilize supporters.

In return for this backing, trump pledged to establish a new "government efficiency" role within his cabinet, led by Musk. During his campaign, trump referred to Musk as the "Secretary of Cost-Cutting," a post that the business magnate has indicated he is eager to accept.
