With a definitive release date, the most recent Ramayana version, which stars sai pallavi and Ranbir Kapoor, is ideal for enticing Hindu viewers to the theater. The two-part epic will be published on diwali 2026 and 2027, according to producer Namit Malhotra. He also posted the movie's initial advertising poster on social media, which only included his name and Nitesh Tiwari, the director. Although the producer's longtime ambition to make this movie has come true, the industry has already witnessed a number of large-scale Ramayana retellings. The most recent high-profile adaption, Adipurush, was a complete failure for both the producers and the public.

Numerous more movies, such as Singham Again, also draw inspiration from the Ramayana or use aspects of the timeless "Good vs. Evil" story. However, the industry releases a new version of the epic every several years that is aimed for Hindu viewers. To their great dismay, some people also likened the poster's color grading to Adipurush's. Although many have great expectations for this new adaption, the initial indications are not encouraging.

Malhotra's decision to announce his ideal project two years ahead of time and block the prestigious diwali release window is a brilliant strategic move to create anticipation. It's unclear, though, if it will live up to the hype or if it will be simply another pathetic attempt to steal money.
