During the Chhath Puja celebration, numerous devotees dipped in the tainted water and stood amidst floating froth while a thick layer of hazardous foam persisted on covering the Yamuna's surface. Devotees are increasingly disregarding the warnings and taking baths in the contaminated water despite the authorities' requests that they refrain from doing so because the froth has become a yearly occurrence.

A lady was seen bathing in the yamuna while a poisonous froth floated about her in a widely shared video. She even shampooed her hair with the foam at one point, using it as soap. Beside her, four more ladies bathe and wash their hair while the foam totally envelops them. As they remain standing in the poisonous river water, they seem to be laughing and making jokes. people who were horrified by the woman's behavior left comments on the video, which has received over a million views.

One astonished user questioned, "Is this really happening?," while another remarked, "All that foam is not shampoo!"

One concerned remark discussed the consequences of putting harmful chemicals in your body and hair. "after a few days they will see a skin doctor," it stated.

Here, education is really important. "Seeing people use this water without knowing the potential health risks is heartbreaking," a third user said.

High concentrations of untreated sewage and industrial contaminants in the river's water, according to experts, are what cause foam.
