The victim submitted the complaint at the bhubaneswar Women's police Station, according to media sources. The victim's hometown is in the Jagatsinghpur district, near the Kujang police Station. She informed the police that she had contacted Mansoor in 2022 while playing the online game "Free Fire" when she went to them to submit the complaint on Friday, november 8. Mansoor kept his faith a secret from her when they first met. The two became closer over time.
A few days later, Mansoor began to control her. Mansoor visited the victim in odisha in march 2024. He raped her in a hotel room after bringing her there. He also made footage of the performance throughout that period. Later on, he began to coerce the victim into marrying him and converting to Islam.
The woman refused to convert to islam and began to distance herself from Mansoor after learning that he was a Muslim. Mansoor became enraged at her reluctance and began using pornographic images and videos as blackmail. He said he would post them on porn websites. The woman added that he used these threats to extort Rs 5,00,000 from the victim's relatives.

The victim became depressed as he began blackmailing her relatives. She has called for harsh action against Samir Mansoor in her complaint. The police have opened an inquiry into the issue in response to her accusation.
In an interview with the media, Subhanarayan Mruduli, the assistant commissioner of police for bhubaneswar, stated that Samir Mansoor was the subject of a case brought under the IT Act and Sections 376(1), 385, 386, 294, and 506 of the indian Penal Code (IPC). He went on to say that Mansoor has been taken into custody by the police and that an inquiry into the situation is still ongoing.
