Sivakarthikeyan's Amaran has broken the lifetime collection record of Rajinikanth starrer Vettaiyan. Amaran was released as a diwali treat in tamil cinema. The film was produced by Ulaganayakan kamal haasan through his company Rajkamal Films. Amaran was directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy starring Sivakarthikeyan. The film starred sai pallavi opposite SK. Composed by gv prakash Kumar, the film released in theaters on october 31. Amaran was based on the life of late army Major Mukund Varadarajan. The film is getting a unanimous response from the fans. Apart from that, Superstar Rajinikanth, actors Suriya and simbu also praised the film. Amaran, which was made on a budget of around 120 crores, has been doing well at the box office.
Amaran movie has so far collected 214.68 crores in 10 days. The film has collected Rs.102.28 crore in tamil Nadu alone. Next to this, it has collected Rs 7.27 crore in Kerala, Rs 22.87 crore in Andhra Pradesh, Rs 11.72 crore in Karnataka, Rs 3.09 crore in other states and Rs 67.45 crore in foreign countries, making a total of 214.68 crore. Amaran has also set a record as the highest grossing film in Sivakarthikeyan's career. Apart from that, Amaran has broken the lifetime collection record of Rajinikanth's Vediyaan in 10 days. Vettaiyan movie failed to reach 100 crore collection in tamil Nadu. But Amaran film has reached that Himalayan goal in 10 days. So far the film has collected Rs.102 crores in tamil Nadu. It is noteworthy that Amaran is next to GOAT among the films that have collected 100 crores in tamil Nadu this year.
