Reportedly Union home minister amit shah on sunday launched the BJP’s poll manifesto for the maharashtra assembly elections and exuded confidence in the Mahayuti’s return to power for the third term. The bjp unveiled its 25-point poll promises in mumbai in which Union minister Piyush Goyal and deputy chief minister devendra fadnavis were also present.
Speaking to the reporters after releasing the party manifesto, Shah also spoke about the chief ministerial face of the alliance.
Shah said “We have Eknath Shinde as our cm now and the alliance partners will decide on the cm face after the elections. Won’t give sharad pawar a chance". Previously at a press conference during the induction of former congress leader and former LoP of mumbai Municipal Corporation ravi Raja into the bjp, fadnavis was asked about the cm face of the alliance, responding to which he had said, “I accept the wishes of everyone. Here, the government is going to be that of Mahayuti and not BJP".
Perhaps the Mahayuti has not declared any Chief Minister’s pick for the polls and is contesting under chief minister Eknath Shinde’s leadership, according to the alliance leaders. The state will go to assembly polls on november 20 in a single phase, the counting of votes will take place on november 23.
