With his most recent disclosure, Aryan, the son of former india cricketer Sanjay Bangar, has gone viral on the internet. After having hormone replacement surgery lately, Bangar's kid revealed that he is transgender. The cricket player revealed an instagram montage showcasing his metamorphosis over the years after changing his name from aryan to Anaya ten months after the procedure.

"The path to realizing my ambition of being a professional cricket player has been one of perseverance, sacrifice, and unrelenting devotion. Every step has required fortitude, from early mornings on the field to dealing with other people's doubts and criticisms," the instagram post's description read.

"But beyond the game, I had another journey. A path of self-discovery and a lot of challenges faced. Embracing my true self meant making hard choices, letting go of the comfort of fitting in, and standing up for who I am, even when it wasn't easy," it read further

"Today, I'm proud to be a part of the sport I love at any level or category, not only as an athlete but as my authentic self. The road hasn't been easy, but finding my true self has been the greatest victory of all," the post caption ended.

Are transperson athletes allowed to play cricket?
According to the international cricket Council's (ICC) ruling, transgender athletes are prohibited from participating in women's international cricket. Integrity was one of the main reasons that compelled the rule's implementation, according to ICC CEO Geoff Allardice, who made the decision back in november 2023.

According to ESPNcricinfo, Allardice stated, "As a sport, we place a great deal of importance on inclusivity, but our top priority was to safeguard the integrity of the international women's game and the safety of players."
