Elon Musk's video created a stir, experts said...?
Even though donald trump has won the US presidential election and will officially take over the command of the country by taking oath as President in january 2025, his side continues to attack the opponents. In this episode, his close friend and the world's richest man Elon Musk, who played an important role in the election campaign this time, has shared a video which is raising questions on Joe Biden's tenure. Although Musk has not named anyone, Biden was the President when the war between russia and ukraine started.
In fact, Elon Musk has shared a video on X. In this, he has pointed to the alleged role played by America in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. American economist Jeffrey D Sachs is seen in the video, who is arguing about the roots of the ukraine war. Sachs claimed that it was not just the aggression from Russia, but the US-led NATO expansion that started the conflict between the neighboring countries.
Accused russia of provoking
In this video, Sachs is seen saying that the US intention to include ukraine in NATO directly provoked Russian President Putin to attack. He stressed, "This is not Putin's attack on ukraine, as we have been told."
The economist made a big claim in the video
It is not clear which date Musk has shared the video, but in it Sachs can be heard saying that NATO broke the promise made to the then Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev in 1990. He said that NATO had promised not to move even an inch east in exchange for the reunification of Germany. He argues that the US has cheated since then. He argued that the problems started with the expansion of NATO. The controversy further escalated with the official inclusion of Poland, hungary and the czech republic in 1999.
