Two renowned tamil filmmakers with a comparable number of telugu fans are mani ratnam and Shankar. While one director continued to produce blockbuster blockbusters like Gentleman, Premikudu, Oke Okkadu, indian, Aparichitudu, and Robo on a massive scale with innovative themes, the other filmmaker provided timeless masterpieces like Roja, Dalapathy, Bombay, Sakhi, and Guru.

However, shankar has gradually begun to fade away. His final movie, indian 2, was a total failure, and his 2.0 was a VFX gimmick with a weak plot. However, mani ratnam is working to update his directing techniques and reinvent himself in response to the audience's shifting preferences.

Ponniyin Selvan, his most recent film, earned reasonably well at the box office and was a respectable movie. The teasers for the massive blockbusters that both filmmakers are now working on have been published consecutively. Two days ago, the teaser for Mani Ratnam's Thug Life was published, and it was well appreciated worldwide. Impressive action choreography, sleek cinematography, thundering BGM, and powerful performances demonstrated that mani ratnam is still quite capable of creating a picture that appeals to modern viewers.

However, the trailer for Shankar's Game Changer was made public on Saturday. Nothing was particularly awful, but the teaser felt quite generic. There was no wow element about it. tamil moviegoers' response is that, compared to a few years ago, mani ratnam has much improved as a filmmaker. Many believe shankar would soon become outdated if he doesn't modernize himself. Two famous directors have released two teasers in two days, and the audience's responses have been wildly divergent.
