Former member of the commission said - Normalization is in the interest of students

Amidst all this, a statement of former member of UP Public service Commission Dr. Sabita Agarwal has come out on the movement of competitive students. She has described normalization as necessary, calling it in the interest of students.

Aggarwal said that in the process of normalization, there is some change in the marks received by the children. Due to this, competitive students feel that injustice is being done to them. Merit also goes up and down due to normalization. There is a formula for percentile regarding normalization. He said that this process is not being adopted only in the preliminary examination of UP PCS but normalization is also done in many other recruitment examinations. According to him, normalization is used in the entrance examination of GATE and in GATE also marks are given in percentile.
