Amaran, which stars sai pallavi and Sivakarthikeyan, is doing very well at the movie office. At first, the movie was supposed to be released on streaming services 28 days following its theatrical premiere. However, Netflix has chosen to postpone the streaming by a week because of its phenomenal box office performance. Originally scheduled for november 28, the movie is now most likely to be released on december 11. This is the first time a tamil movie has experienced this kind of incident.

In just nine days, the film has already brought in 124.30 crores at the indian box office. In andhra pradesh and Telangana, the telugu version of the movie has already made over 30 crore and is expected to reach 40 crore. It has earned 203.57 crore globally. Given its present trajectory, the film has the potential to take over 275 crore globally and could even reach the 300 crore mark. Everything hinges on the audience's reaction to Kanguva this week.

But now sadly, the movie has faced Piracy threat again. A Clear HD Print of Amaran has been released on the Internet and has gone viral already.
