Even while everyone understood America's mission on november 5, two months remain before donald trump takes back the White House. As it happens, Kamala harris may be able to succeed him as US president inside this window. Former Kamala harris communications director Jamal Simmons has urged President Biden to resign before his term officially ends so the vice president can briefly become the first female president of the United States.
 
Simmons acknowledged Biden's accomplishments, but he feels the President still has one more commitment to keep. That means Kamala harris will become president, although briefly, before trump assumes the presidency. By resigning, Biden would undermine trump and spare Kamala harris the burdensome task of managing the aftermath of january 6. Additionally, it will relieve upcoming female candidates of the responsibility of being the first female president.
 
The move will appear more like a token triumph than a well-earned one, even though it comes from a good place. Due to a technicality and a month-long reign after it, the historic title of the First Female President of the united states may lose its worth. Biden might resign within the next 30 days and choose Kamala harris to be the 47th president of the united states, albeit this is quite unlikely.
