An Iranian court has ruled that America should compensate the families of Iranians killed in iraq and Syria. The court said that America will have to pay $ 48.86 billion in compensation to the families of Iranians killed while fighting US-backed terrorist groups in iraq and Syria.

According to Xinhua, Judge Majid Hussainzadeh gave this decision on saturday (November 16) in the 55th branch of the Tehran court after hearing two sessions of complaints filed by 700 members of the families of the killed persons against the US government for 'clear support to terrorist and Takfiri (extremist) groups'.

What was said in the Iranian court's decision?

The verdict said that as a result of terrorist crimes committed by US-backed fear-mongering groups, the plaintiffs have suffered significant physical and mental damage and are under emotional pressure due to the death of their people. The court identified the terrorist groups as 'Islamic State and Al-Nusra Front' and said that they could not commit such crimes in the absence of US cooperation and support.

How much compensation will America have to pay?

According to local media reports, under this decision, the US has been ordered to compensate each plaintiff with $ 10 million, i.e. a total of $ 6.98 billion, for the physical damage they suffered.

Along with this, each has been ordered to compensate with $ 20 million, i.e. a total of $ 13.96 billion, for the mental damage they suffered. The court also ruled that the US should pay $ 27.92 billion as punitive damages.

According to local media, an appeal can be made against this decision within two months. iran has been sending its military personnel to iraq and syria for the past few years to help fight against 'terrorist groups'.
