In anticipation of Coldplay's "biggest ever show" at the narendra modi Stadium on january 25, fans rushed to purchase tickets and reserve accommodations as the british band announced yet another performance in ahmedabad as part of their much anticipated "Music Of The Spheres World Tour 2025." However, several fans have expressed dissatisfaction about the city's skyrocketing hotel costs on the day of the performance, with many saying that rooms are being reserved for as much as ₹90,000 for a single night.

"Hotel rooms in ITC Narmada ahmedabad are selling for 90,000 per night on the 25th. If you manage to get Coldplay tickets, you also need to spend 6 months of an indian middle-class person's income to simply visit the city. Coldplay plays, city's hotels party," wrote X user Aviral Bhatnagar.
After independently checking the ITC Narmada website, india Herald discovered that reserving a room on january 25th costs ₹75,000, without including taxes. The whole cost, including taxes, is ₹88,500. In contrast, a stay at the upscale hotel costs ₹15,675 just one week before the show on january 25.

Prices skyrocket in ahmedabad hotels
Fans complained on social media that since the event was publicized, prices at practically all hotels, not only five-star establishments, had increased. "I decided to reserve a hotel room in case I was able to secure tickets to Coldplay's show in Ahmedabad." Ujval Chopra, an X user, posted a little video demonstrating how hotel rates surpassed ₹50,000 on january 25 and stated, "The prices just skyrocketed."
