A video showing Shamita Yadav, also known as "Ranting Gola," a Modi-BJP critic, "ranting" about Abu Azmi, the Samajwadi party MLA from Mankhurd shivaji Nagar in Maharashtra, became popular on social media on november 19.

Shamita Yadav said in the widely shared video that Abu Azmi, a three-term MLA, had neglected to bring up the problem of the illicit drug trade in Govandi.

"The drug issue in Govandi has become worse over the last 15 years, but there has been one thing that has remained the same: Samajwadi party MLA Abu Azmi. He hasn't even sent a letter to the police urging them to take action against drug misuse in the past 15 years. "In a place where young people are dying from drugs, you (Abu Azmi) have only got 2 cases registered in the NDPC [it is Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, or simply NDPS Act] from 2009 to 2021," Yadav added, accusing Abu Azmi of either profiting from the drug trade or operating the nexus himself. Shamita Yadav swiftly released a video providing "clarification" claiming the content of her tirade against Abu Azmi was only a "script provided to her" and that she had not checked the script after the video swiftly went popular on social media.
