In the last two years, Maharashtra's outgoing cm Eknath Shinde has given many shocks to uddhav Thackeray. First, shiv sena and its symbol won in the legal battle. Now he has stamped his authority in the court of the people. The party's performance in the lok sabha elections was not as per expectations, but shiv sena made a comeback after just five months. Eknath Shinde himself won the election from Kopri-Panchpakhadi seat with a huge margin.

On the Kopri-Panchpakhadi seat, Eknath Shinde was in direct competition with uddhav thackeray faction leader Kedar Prakash Dighe. Eknath Shinde got 159060 votes and defeated Kedar Prakash Dighe by a margin of 120717 votes. Dighe could get only 38343 votes. The other seven candidates on the Kopri seat got less votes than NOTA and all of them forfeited their deposits. Here 2676 votes were cast in favour of NOTA.

Eknath Shinde expressed his gratitude to the voters by posting on 'X'. He wrote, "Heartfelt thanks to all the voters. The Mahayuti government, which is working with a dedicated spirit for the prosperity and welfare of Maharashtra, has got undisputed and great success. Mahayuti has become popular in Maharashtra. This victory is of my dear sisters, dear brothers, dear farmers."

Shinde said this while remembering Balasaheb

He further wrote, "The common man in the state voted like a superman. Therefore, this victory is of the common people in the state, it is of the government which works round the clock for the common people. This is the victory of the ideology of Hindu Hriday Samrat shiv sena chief balasaheb thackeray and Dharmaveer anand Dighesaheb. With the support of world leaders and the country's popular prime minister Narendra Modi ji, strong home minister amit shah and bjp National President JP Nadda, the government of the heart of the people could come to power in the state.
