The results of jharkhand assembly elections have made it clear who will get the key to power. Some won by a big margin in the election, some retained their seats, while some big leaders, even hemant Soren government minister Banna Gupta, lost their seats. Amidst all this, there was a lot of discussion on those seats where the candidates lost the winning game due to a few votes. Let us throw some light on this interesting contest.


Exciting contest of Latehar


In Latehar, BJP's Prakash ram defeated JMM's Baidyanath ram by 434 votes. In a total of 24 rounds of counting, Prakash ram got 98062 and Baidyanath ram got 97628 votes. The remaining nine candidates got less votes than NOTA. 4518 votes were cast in favour of NOTA here.


Daltonganj


BJP's Alok Kumar Chaurasia was ahead of Congress' Krishnanand Tripathi by 890 votes after 21 rounds of counting and was declared the winner. Alok Kumar got 102175 votes and Krishnanand got 101285 votes. There was a contest between a total of 21 candidates here. Here 1214 people voted in favor of NOTA.


Congress wins from Chhattarpur


Congress's Radha krishna Kishore was declared the winner from Chhattarpur. While BJP's pushpa Devi remained in second place. In an interesting contest, Radha krishna defeated pushpa Devi by 736 votes. Here it was a friendly contest between RJD and Congress. RJD's Vijay Kumar lost by 50894 votes. A total of 14 candidates were in the fray here.


This was the contest in Kanke


A close contest was witnessed in Kanke seat too. When the results were declared after 23 rounds of counting, the margin of victory was very less. Congress' suresh Kumar Baitha defeated BJP's Jeetu Charan ram by just 968 votes.

Nirmal Mahato won from Mandu in a close contest


A tough contest was seen between AJSU and congress in Mandu. Both nirmal Mahato of AJSU and Jaiprakash Bhai patel of congress were seen as equal contenders but the tables turned in the last round in such a way that Jaiprakash was disappointed and nirmal Mahato won. Jaiprakash had to regret the result because the margin of victory was only 231 votes. There was a contest between a total of 18 candidates here.
