According to PTI, ajit pawar was elected leader of the Legislative party in a meeting chaired by the party's state unit president and lok sabha member sunil Tatkare. Along with this, his colleague Anil Patil was re-appointed as the Chief Whip.
Anil Patil will monitor the attendance of MLAs during the sessions of the house and will discuss their request to speak on different issues. It is worth noting that ncp and its allies in Mahayuti, bjp and Shinde faction shiv sena performed brilliantly in the state assembly elections and won 230 out of 288 seats. In Maharashtra, ncp contested 59 seats and won 41 seats. bjp, which is a part of the Mahayuti, won the maximum number of 132 seats. Whereas, shiv sena of Eknath Shinde faction won 57 seats.
