The results of maharashtra assembly elections were very surprising on some seats. Some won by more than one lakh votes while some lost by just 162 votes. After the elections, there is a discussion on Shirpur and Malegaon Central seats where victory was achieved by the highest and lowest margin respectively.

Shirpur

In Shirpur, bjp candidate won by a big margin of 145944 votes. Although there was a cpi (M) candidate in front of him, but the cpi (M) candidate lagged behind not only bjp but also independent candidate. BJP's Kashiram Pawara defeated independent Jitendra Thakur. cpi (M)'s Budha Mala Pawara remained in third place who got only 10038 votes. Kashiram got 178073 and Jitendra Thakur got 32129 votes.

Kashiram has been defeating Jitendra Thakur for three elections

Kashiram Pawara had also won from Shirpur in the 2019 assembly elections and defeated Jitendra Thakur. At that time too Jitendra Thakur was in second place. However, in the last election he got more votes than this time. Kashiram Pawara was earlier in the congress and he won the election in 2014 on a congress ticket. While Jitendra Thakur was then in the BJP. This is the third consecutive time that Kashiram has defeated Jitendra Thakur.

Malegaon Central

The excitement continued till the counting of 25 rounds on the Malegaon Central seat. Because there was a difference of only a few votes between the winner and the losing candidate. The counting of the last round confirmed that Mufti Mohammad Ismail Abdul Khaliq would become the MLA. AIMIM's Khaliq defeated Asif Sheikh Rashid of the indian Secular Largest assembly of maharashtra by a margin of 162 votes. Khaliq got 109653 votes and Asif got 109491 votes.
