A former village doctor is on trial for allegedly methodically raping 87 women and documenting the attacks over 20 years, in what is being termed the worst sexual abuse scandal in Norway's history. In instances that occurred at his medical clinic and the homes of 94 women, including two children, Arne Bye, 55, is accused of abusing his position of trust.

Victims as young as 14 and as elderly as 67 are part of the horrific scope of the alleged abuse, which spans ages and situations. According to the accusations, Bye exploited his medical power to pressure, deceive, and damage his victims, indicating a deliberate practice of predation. In addition to being unparalleled in scope, the case has been regarded by prosecutors as being extremely upsetting due to the violation of trust it represents.

As the case develops via testimony and evidence, norway is forced to face the treachery of a trusted individual and the terrible effects on the victims' lives.

In what is reportedly Norway's greatest sexual abuse case, Arne Bye has guilty to three charges of rape and thirty-five incidents of abuse of position. The maximum penalty for him is 21 years in jail. Researchers discovered more than 6,000 hours of video recordings, many of which depicted intrusive and unapproved gynecological exams conducted on patients without their knowledge or consent.
