The individual, who went by the name Dipesh Gohil, was employed at the port of Okha and had spoken with the Pakistani spy via Facebook.
The spy pretended to be "Sahima" and kept in contact with Dipesh over whatsapp after becoming friends with him on Facebook. Dipesh had been asked by the agency to provide the Coast Guard boat's name and number that was based at Okha port.
The agent's identity is still unknown.
"We received information that a man from Okha was sharing details about the Coast Guard boat with an agent of Pakistan's Navy or the ISI via whatsapp," said gujarat ATS officer K Siddharth. After an inquiry, we took Okha resident Dipesh Gohil into custody. pakistan was the source of the number Dipesh was using.
The ATS claims that Dipesh had no trouble reaching the ships based at the port of Okha.
He received Rs 200 a day for giving the Pakistani spy information, and as he lacked an account, the funds were moved to his friend's account. Then, claiming it was for welding work, he grabbed cash from his pal. The agency had given him Rs 42,000.
K siddharth stated, "For a nominal fee, Pakistani Navy or ISI operatives are looking for anyone who may supply information regarding indian Coast Guard vessels. drugs have long been intercepted along India's maritime borders by Gujarat's Anti-Terrorism Squad in collaboration with the Coast Guard. Pankaj Kotia of Porbandar was detained by gujarat ATS earlier last month for providing a Pakistani spy with information on the Coast Guard craft.
