Samajwadi party President akhilesh yadav has given a big statement about former minister and senior SP leader Azam Khan. He said that Samajwadi party was always with him and will always be with him. We have fully supported him but when the government wants him to go to jail... his family should be destroyed then what will the officers do.
akhilesh yadav spoke openly about Azam Khan in an interview given to journalist Shubhankar Mishra's podcast. When he was told that many people have made such allegations that SP did not support Azam Khan, akhilesh yadav said that "SP was with him then and is with him even today.. whatever legal battles and other things there were, Samajwadi party has given full support to him.
He said this about Azam Khan
He said that SP is with him but, when the government itself wants him to go to jail. If an officer is given extension after extension for the reason that he has to destroy Azam Khan's family or SP mla Irfan has to be sent to jail, then what will the officers in the government do? The entire government, all the officers sent him to jail by filing false cases against him but Samajwadi party is with him.
Akhilesh said that those who feel this from time to time, I know some of my people.. some opposition people... who oppose Samajwadi party in the desire of votes. I will tell all those people that I will fully support them.. till now it was that I was protecting Azam Sahab, now he should come forward, I am with him.. the whole party is with him Come forward and help.
Let us tell you that former cabinet minister and Samajwadi Party's strong leader Azam Khan is currently lodged in Sitapur jail in UP. More than a hundred cases are registered against him, in some of which he has been convicted and in some he has got bail. But in many cases the hearing is still going on in the court. The SP president has often been accused of not supporting the Azam family in bad times.
