In the ncp leader and former minister baba siddique murder case, the mumbai Crime Branch has also added serious sections of MCOCA against all the arrested accused in the FIR. So far 26 people have been arrested in this case from different parts of the country. Most of these arrests have been made from maharashtra itself. Some have been caught from UP and Punjab.

The mumbai Crime Branch has named three people as absconding accused in this murder case, whose names are Shubham Lonkar, nishan Akhtar and Anmol Bishnoi. Let us tell you that in this case, the mumbai Crime Branch imposed MCOCA when the police came to know about the role of lawrence Bishnoi's brother Anmol Bishnoi in this murder and found evidence related to him. After getting evidence against Anmol, the Crime Branch declared him absconding and then added relevant sections of the maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) in this case.

What is MCOCA?

The maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) was made by the maharashtra government in 1999. Its purpose is to prevent organised crime from the state and to make special provisions to deal with crime. MCOCA has also been imposed against the accused who fired outside actor salman Khan's house. This law is also applicable in Delhi. The Union home Ministry implemented it in the national capital in 2002.

baba Siddiqui was murdered on the night of october 12 last month when he was standing near the office of his son and former mla Zeeshan Siddiqui. He was shot. baba Siddiqui was immediately taken to the hospital where he died.
