For the Raata ritual, sobhita dhulipala donned traditional jewelry that had belonged to her mother and grandmother. In many telugu customs, it is an important pre-wedding rite. Mango, jamun, and jammi tree leaves are placed on a bamboo pole during this ritual, and the leaves are then worshiped with holy objects such as pancha loha, navaratan (nine diamonds), and navadhaanya (nine grains).
 

The Mangalasnaanam rite occurs after the Raata ceremony.
