A young woman presents her father as her spouse in a startlingly popular video, claiming that they were wed in a customary temple ceremony. The film, which has left viewers in disbelief, questions social conventions around sacred relationships like those between brothers and sisters and fathers and daughters.

The lady, 24, assertively declares in the video, "This is my father, and we are happy after getting married." Her 50-year-old 'father' stands next to her, affirming their bond and saying, "Yes, she is my daughter." What exactly is wrong with this, then? The father dismissively answers, "In which era are you living?" when a passerby inquires as to whether they feel guilty about getting married. Why feel embarrassed?

The purpose of the two people who recorded and shared the film is also revealed in the video. They intended to quiet opponents who had been spreading rumors about their connection, the lady said. "Our marriage is our answer to those who talk behind our backs," she states.

Jai Singh Yadav of the Samajwadi party recently posted the video on X, where it received millions of views and a lot of attention. The film has generated new discussions over morality, legality, and social standards, despite the fact that it is thought to have been created before 2020 (it was first uploaded to TikTok, which is now prohibited in India).

The film has been branded as fraudulent by many viewers, who believe it was made only for amusement. News18 was unable to verify the accuracy of the statements made in the video.

Social media has responded strongly to the video. Some viewers have denounced it directly, while others have written it off as a PR stunt. One user drew attention to the legal ramifications, pointing out that such a relationship is prohibited and deemed incestuous under the Hindu marriage Code, rendering the marriage void under indian law. The comment made by another user, Paramjeet, said, "Such people should be banned from all platforms."
