The name of the chief minister of maharashtra will be announced on Wednesday, a day before the swearing-in ceremony of the Mahayuti government. A senior bjp official gave this information on Monday. The official said that the name of the chief minister will be announced after the leader of the bjp Legislature party is elected. The bharatiya janata party (BJP) on monday appointed Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman and former gujarat chief minister Vijay Rupani as central observers for the maharashtra Legislature party meeting, in which the MLAs will elect their leader.

The bjp official told the media, "Rupani and Sitharaman will meet the elected representatives of the bjp in mumbai on Wednesday. After this meeting, the name of the selected candidate will be sent to the senior leaders in Delhi. After this, these observers will announce the elected leader of the bjp, who will become the next Chief Minister. " The bjp has already announced that the new chief minister will take oath on december 5 at azad Maidan in mumbai in the presence of prime minister Narendra Modi and other leaders. Though the party has not made any formal announcement, a senior bjp leader on sunday claimed that devendra fadnavis has been named as the CM.
I will support BJP's decision: Eknath Shinde
BJP's two main allies in the Mahayuti alliance, shiv sena and Nationalist congress party, are likely to be given deputy cm positions in the new government. Maharashtra's caretaker chief minister Eknath Shinde has already made it clear that he will support BJP's decision on the CM. In the recently concluded state elections, the Mahayuti won 230 of the 288 assembly seats. bjp was ahead with 132 seats, while shiv sena got 57 and ncp got 41 seats. On december 5, maharashtra will get its next cm and election speculation will also end.
