After this meeting, the name of the selected candidate will be sent to the senior leaders in Delhi. " The bjp has already announced that the new chief minister will take oath on december 5 at azad Maidan in mumbai in the presence of prime minister Narendra Modi and other leaders. BJP's two main allies in the Mahayuti alliance, shiv sena and Nationalist congress party, are likely to be given deputy cm positions in the new government. Maharashtra's caretaker chief minister Eknath Shinde has already made it clear that he will support BJP's decision on the CM. In the recently concluded state elections, the Mahayuti won 230 of the 288 assembly seats. bjp was ahead with 132 seats, while shiv sena got 57 and ncp got 41 seats.
