The AAP government has taken a big step and decided to give family health insurance of Rs 5 lakh and term insurance of Rs 10 lakh to 3220 new lawyers under the chief minister Advocate Welfare Scheme. This decision has been approved by cm Atishi. The delhi government is currently providing term insurance of Rs 10 lakh and medical insurance of Rs 5 lakh to more than 27,000 lawyers under its chief minister Advocate Welfare Scheme and now this number will increase to about 31,000.

On this important decision, chief minister Atishi said that the AAP government has always worked for the betterment of lawyers and will continue to do so. She said that the profession of lawyers in india is the most important, they bring the Constitution in its true form and provide justice to the people. He also said that under the chief minister Advocate Welfare Scheme, the delhi government provides term insurance of Rs 10 lakh and medical insurance of Rs 5 lakh to lawyers. He shared that till now more than 27,000 lawyers have enrolled in the chief minister Advocate Welfare Scheme and now this number will increase to about 31,000.

Proved to be helpful during Corona

He said that in 2019, the delhi government started the chief minister Advocate Welfare Scheme for the betterment of lawyers and gives a fund of Rs 50 crore annually in it. Under this, all the enrolled lawyers get term insurance of Rs 10 lakh and now health insurance of up to Rs 5 lakh and soon after the launch of this scheme, this scheme proved to be very helpful for our lawyer colleagues during Corona.

'We have been fulfilling all our responsibilities towards lawyers'

cm Atishi said, "Thousands of lawyers and their families have taken advantage of medical insurance." chief minister Atishi said that as a government, we have been fulfilling all our responsibilities towards lawyers and will continue to do so. She said that we will always work for the betterment of lawyers. Let us tell you that under this scheme, enrolled lawyers are given term insurance of Rs 10 lakh.
