Union minister and senior bjp leader nitin gadkari has said that politics is an "ocean of dissatisfied souls", where every person is unhappy and aspires for a higher position than his current position. His statement has come at a time when there is suspense over the post of chief minister and the form of the new government in Maharashtra.

The senior bharatiya janata party (BJP) leader said on sunday in nagpur at the launch of a book titled '50 Golden Rules of Life' that whether a person is in family, social, political or corporate life, life is full of challenges and problems and a person should understand the "art of living" to face them.

Recalling an old statement

The minister, while recalling a program organized in Rajasthan, said, "Politics is a sea of unsatisfied souls, where every person is unhappy... The one who becomes a councilor is unhappy because he did not get a chance to become an mla and the mla is unhappy because he could not get a ministerial post." The bjp leader said, "The one who becomes a minister is unhappy because he did not get a good ministry and he could not become the chief minister and the chief minister is under stress because he does not know when the high command will ask him to leave the post." He said that problems in life present big challenges and facing them and moving forward is the "art of living". Gadkari said that in his political life, he remembers a quote from the autobiography of former US President richard Nixon, which says, "A person does not end when he loses. He ends when he accepts defeat."
