'The threat may increase...',something big about Bangladesh...?
After the situation in Bangladesh worsens day by day, the UK government has issued a new travel advisory about Bangladesh. The advisory issued by the UK government about bangladesh clearly states that the threat of terrorist attacks may increase there. This advisory specifically talks about targeting those places where foreign tourists, religious places and political rallies are organized.
UK's Commonwealth and Development office (FCDO) wrote in its advisory update about bangladesh that there is a possibility of terrorist attack in Bangladesh. These attacks can target crowded places, religious places and political gatherings. Especially those people can be targeted whose lifestyle or ideology seems against islam to some fundamentalists.
These people are targeted
FCDO has specifically advised to travel only for essential purposes in areas like Chittagong. This area is already considered disturbed and many times rebel activities and terrorist incidents have been recorded here. In bangladesh, reports of attacks on minority religious community and security forces keep coming every day. In the last few years, IED i.e. Improvised Explosive Device has been used in big cities. Security forces and police often become the target of these attacks. The Bangladeshi administration is active to stop such attacks, but the threat still persists.
Prohibition from going to these places
The FCDO advisory clearly states that avoid crowded areas, religious places and political rallies. Be cautious around police and security personnel. Maintain distance from any large gathering or demonstration, follow the advice of the local administration. Although bangladesh is a beautiful country, traveling there in the current circumstances can be risky. Terrorism has a bad effect on the security and economic condition of any country.
