Last year, the draft of annual revenue requirement filed by the electricity Corporation had stated a deficit of Rs 11 thousand crores. In the draft filed for 2023-24, the annual requirement was stated to be around 92547 crores.
According to the draft given to the electricity Regulatory Commission, the requirement of 16 thousand crore units of electricity was stated for 2025-26. At the same time, a gap of about 12800 to 13 thousand crores has also been shown in the ARR of this 2025-26, in which the cost of purchasing electricity is being said to be between about 92 thousand to 95 thousand crores.
