Reportedly in what looked like the signing-off address by caretaker chief minister of maharashtra Eknath Shinde, he spoke about working just like a karyakarta in Vidhan Sabha elections, referring to his humble roots. The journey that began as a karyakarta took him to the position of chief minister of the second-largest state in the country. But, just as he announced that he was out of the race to hold the position for a second term, he reiterated that he would continue to work as a karyakarta despite whatever position he holds. However, bowing to the pressure of shiv sena leaders, Shinde just few hours ahead of the oath ceremony of maharashtra cm on thursday agreed to take up the role of Deputy Chief Minister.
Perhaps after the rebellion, Shinde would use Shiv Sena’s name and symbols, which did not go well with uddhav Thackrey. Eventually, Uddhav’s faction challenged this in court, and the case was moved to the election commission of India. The Commission recognized Eknath Shinde’s faction as the real shiv sena party, which made him being portrayed as the leader of Shiv Sainiks.
Moreover even as Shinde made the sacrifice for the position of the cm post on Wednesday, he was being attributed for being the leader responsible for resolving the maratha issue and for being the face of Ladki Bahin yojna, which is being seen as one of the major reasons for Mahayuti’s win in Vidhan Sabha elections. As he dropped the mic, Shinde said that for him no other designation was bigger than him being called ‘Ladka bhau’ because he comes from a humble farmer’s family and would always want to be remembered as common man’s CM.
