The day before yesterday, Sukumar's highly awaited film, pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, was released in theaters. Both tamil viewers and reviewers have had conflicting opinions about it. According to trade reports, despite the reviews, pushpa 2 is doing extremely well at the tamil Nadu box office. With an opening day total of almost ₹11 crores, pushpa 2 became the highest-grossing dubbed film in tamil Nadu.

Additionally, trade analysts claim that the tamil version of pushpa 2's Day 1 collection is superior to the newly released Suriya's Kanguva Day 1 collection in tamil Nadu. According to reports, the telugu states' box office receipts for pushpa 2: The Rule dropped by over 50% on Day 2 compared to Day 1. Nonetheless, it is outperforming its expectations and doing quite well in tamil Nadu and North India.

The tamil version of pushpa 2 is still doing well in tamil Nadu today, with several theaters allegedly showing an occupancy rate of almost 80%. Compared to the original version in the telugu states, pushpa 2 appears to be doing better in tamil Nadu and North india than anticipated. Stay tuned for more updates.
