The winter session of Uttar Pradesh assembly began on monday (16 December) amidst a lot of commotion. On the first day of the winter session, chief minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the assembly. While addressing the assembly, chief minister Yogi Adityanath fiercely verbally attacked the opposition. chief minister Yogi Adityanath, while referring to the riots during his address, said that when the procession of the festival of the Muslim community passes safely through Hindu areas, they do not have any problem. Even the procession of the Muslim community passes in front of the temple but there is no problem.
'Hindus from Muslim areas...'
The chief minister said that why does this problem arise only when a Hindu procession or Shobha yatra passes through a mosque or a Muslim dominated area. He said, "If processions of Muslim festivals can pass through Hindu areas, then why can't processions of Hindu festivals pass through Muslim areas." He said, "If there is no problem in the festivals of any Muslim or any other religion in the state, then if any problem is created during Hindu festivals, the government will deal with it strictly."
In his address to the House, cm Yogi said, "You want that your festivals and celebrations should be celebrated peacefully. There was a Shia-Sunni dispute in your sambhal as well. In 1976, the entire dispute was between Shia and Sunni. At that time, the dispute was about the possession of Jama Masjid." He said, "You people should not hide this truth."
Taking a dig at the opposition, chief minister Yogi Adityanath claimed that the Shia-Sunni dispute in lucknow ended during the time of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He said that these people used to make Shia-Sunni fight because your politics from the very beginning has been of dividing and getting others to split. That is why we said that we will neither divide nor be split.
