A sense of celebration is in the air as christmas and New Year's draw near. As a result, the Uttar Pradesh Excise Department has prolonged the booze stores' closing hours. On three designated days in december, liquor stores will stay open an extra hour.

Beer and liquor will be served from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. on these days. december 24, 25, and 31 are the dates that are set aside. Liquor and beer stores will be open until 11 p.m. on certain days rather than the customary 10 p.m. Liquor stores will stay open till 11 p.m. on december 24 and 25 for christmas celebrations and on december 31 for New Year's Eve, per the direction given by Uttar Pradesh Excise Commissioner Dr. adarsh Singh. On december 12, all district Magistrates and licensing officials received a letter about this judgment.

In Uttar Pradesh, liquor stores usually open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Those who are excited to celebrate New Year's Eve have embraced this extension of hours.

In addition to buying a lot of alcohol for get-togethers with friends, many individuals leave their houses to attend parties at hotels, restaurants, and other locations. The Excise Department apparently decided to expand business hours in part because of the substantial money it receives from this increased demand.

However, because some people decide to drive after drinking, there is also an increase in accidents around this time. A sizable police presence is put on the roadways during this period to handle this problem. Authorities strongly advise against drinking and driving and encourage everyone to celebrate sensibly.
