The chief minister Yogi Adityanath said that the state government has a zero tolerance policy so that more and more investment comes to UP. This investment of Rs 40 lakh crore is directly guaranteeing employment to more than 1 crore 25 lakh youth in Uttar Pradesh. Out of this, we have already implemented investment proposals worth Rs 15 lakh crore and Rs 10 lakh crore is in the pipeline, which we can take forward by ground breaking anytime. An environment of security, better law and order and riot-free state has been created here. Due to this, every investor from the country and the world wants to come to the state. As a result of this, the unemployment rate of the state between 2012-17 was more than 19 percent and today it is 2.4. These things show that the government's steps have moved in a good direction. The government has also organized fairs for employment generation. Employment fairs are being organized at various places through Skill Development, PM Vishwakarma, Vishwakarma Shram Samman.
Lakhs of youth have been given jobs in their own districts
The cm said that the MSME sector is the biggest medium of employment in the state, it had become almost dead. Today, through One district One Product (ODOP), we have provided employment opportunities to lakhs of youth in their own districts. The reforms that have taken place in the agriculture sector and the facilities that have been provided have increased the income of farmers manifold. By bringing in the procurement policy, this process has been taken forward in a transparent manner. The government has taken steps towards diversification of farming. Irrigation facilities have been provided to 23 lakh hectares of land. This has increased the income of farmers.
