The chief minister Yogi Adityanath said that the figures presented by the members here are not factual. If it is a matter of completing the process of recruitment of teachers of Basic education and Secondary education Council in Uttar Pradesh, then appointment letters have been issued to 69000 teachers, all of them have also been teaching in schools for four years. Before that, the recruitment process of 68500 teachers was completed, because at that time NCTE did not consider B.Ed eligible for that exam and at that time we did not have that many candidates of BTC. Only 42 thousand teachers could be recruited in this, who are teaching in the schools of Basic education Council today. Appointment letters were issued to all of them.
The chief minister said that the previous governments had played with the quality of education. Shikshamitras were recruited as assistant teachers. The Honorable supreme court had dismissed them and ordered to terminate their services, but the state government has kept them on a fixed honorarium.
All those Shikshamitras are also working as usual. They were linked to the recruitment process by giving them weightage. Steps were taken in accordance with the intention of the Honorable supreme Court. The recruitment process of more than 44,000 teachers has been completed by the Secondary education Selection Commission Board and Higher education Selection Commission Board.
