Interest rate cut again in the US..!? good news for the 3rd time..!

The US central bank, the Federal Reserve, has eased its monetary policy again. According to the results released today, it has reduced the benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points. This is the third consecutive interest rate cut in 2024. With this, the interest rate range has been reduced from 4.25% to 4.50%. The decision was announced after a two-day FOMC meeting led by Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell. While the latest interest rate cut is in line with market expectations, the chances of the next interest rate cut have decreased significantly.
 In the US, there are only two expected rate cuts in 2025 to contain persistent inflationary pressures. In september, the Federal Reserve announced a surprise 50 basis points rate cut, citing declining inflation in the US. However, recent economic data, particularly persistently high inflation, has underscored the need for a more cautious approach to the rate cut. The Federal Reserve cut interest rates by 50 basis points at its september meeting after four decades of fighting inflation. The Federal Reserve believes that cutting interest rates, can stimulate economic growth, encourage borrowing and spending, and thereby restore economic growth. This rate cut is expected to affect not only the indian investment market but also everything including gold and Bitcoin.
