Reportedly aam aadmi party convener arvind kejriwal on sunday announced that the delhi government will start registrations for post-poll schemes Mahila Samman and Sanjivani Yojana from december 23, asking people to keep their voter cards ready. kejriwal, who has said time and again that a lot of voters are being removed from the electoral roll ahead of the delhi assembly elections, asked potential beneficiaries to check their names in the voter list. The first and most basic criteria for these schemes is that beneficiaries must be registered as a voter in Delhi.

When addressing the media, he said for the registrations, the people will not have to go anywhere. For their convenience, the teams will go from door to door. About the Mahila Samman Yojana, where each woman aged above 18 will receive Rs 2,100 every month, the former delhi chief minister said it will help young women to pursue higher education. On the Sanjivani Yojana, under which all senior citizens in delhi will be entitled to free medical treatment, kejriwal said there is no one to care for the middle class in India. He said no government had done anything for them and many people work hard as well as pay taxes worth lakhs and crores to contribute for nation building.

Moreover both these schemes have not yet been implemented and will only become a reality if the AAP is re-elected in the 2025 assembly polls, likely to be held in February. kejriwal said there will be around 35 to 40 lakh women and 10 to 15 lakh senior citizens, who are potential beneficiaries.
