In Manali, himachal pradesh, a new round of intense snowfall on monday left a number of cars stuck and visitors detained for hours between Solang and the Atal Tunnel in Rohtang.

over 700 tourists were moved to safe locations by police after they launched a rescue operation after over 1,000 vehicles became caught in a lengthy traffic jam, according to officials.

A visitor from Faridabad, haryana named Pramod yogi described the emotion as indescribable.

"Words cannot express the happiness this snowstorm has brought.It's been incredible to witness nature's breathtaking splendour for the first time in my life. I encourage everyone to come here and have fun. "Watching and enjoying the snowfall has been an exciting experience, and I would encourage everyone to come here," he said.
