With four vehicles based in Delhi, two in Jammu, and two in srinagar, the vehicles would be distributed among strategic areas.

In a post on X, former srinagar Mayor Junaid Mattu responded to the directive by attacking National Conference leader Omar Abdullah and disparaging the government's agenda."200 free power units—no business regulations, PSI age relaxation—no powers." The Subcommittee rationalised reservations, but all powers were used to go shopping for the King's cavalcade. "Wow," wrote Mattu.

According to the government decree, all expenditure certificates and raid accounts must be turned in by march 31, 2025, and the money must only be utilised for the SUV purchase. Officials promised that current employees would oversee the cars and that no new driver positions would be established.

In order to avoid financial mismanagement, the Transport Department has also been instructed to maintain stringent compliance.Omar Abdullah's National Conference formed the largest coalition with 42 members in the most recent assembly elections. The bjp secured 29 seats, while Abdullah personally secured two seats in Budgam and Ganderbal.
