MG Motor india has announced its plans to broaden its vehicle lineup in India. The company is in the midst of transforming its retail model in the country by setting up a new chain of premium showrooms that will assist in introducing newer, more upscale vehicles to the indian market.

MG is preparing to unveil New Energy vehicles through these newly established premium showrooms. It is possible that the brand will debut its new models at the Bharat Mobility Expo in january as well.

MG Cyberster

The Cyberster is MG's latest sports car, inspired by the MG B roadster that was sold from 1962 to 1980. This new Cyberster will feature a convertible design with an all-electric powertrain. Currently, it is believed that the Cyberster will come as a two-seater roadster with a twin-motor setup. Both motors will independently drive the front and rear axles. MG promises an impressive power output of around 510 PS and a peak torque of approximately 725 Nm. This car is set to become one of MG's most powerful models, capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.

In addition, the vehicle will be fitted with a double wishbone suspension system and a five-link suspension setup at the rear, enhancing its agility and handling. This configuration will also enable the vehicle to manage the weight of the battery packs more effectively without any issues in handling.

MiFa 9

March 2025 is anticipated to be a significant month for MG, as they plan to launch their electric MPV, the MiFa 9 EV. The design of the vehicle will be similar to other MPVs like the toyota Vellfire and the Kia Carnival. The MiFa 9 will offer spacious and comfortable interiors, featuring sliding doors for easy access for rear passengers.

The MiFa 9 will be powered by a 90 kWh battery pack and a motor mounted on the front axle, delivering a peak horsepower of around 245 bhp and a peak torque of approximately 350 Nm. The projected range for this vehicle is around 430 km, and it is expected to be priced at approximately Rs 65 lakhs.

MG 4 Hatchback

The MG 4 hatchback is scheduled for launch in india next year and will be designed to be more accessible and affordable than other models. It will be built on the E2 platform, and the indian variant will feature a 64 kWh battery pack, providing a driving range of about 450 km on a full charge.

MG 5 Station Wagon

Station wagons have not been particularly popular in india, with only a few models like the Tata indigo Marina available, but the MG 5 is set to add competition to this segment. This car will also be built on the E2 platform and will be powered by a battery pack that offers a driving range of around 485 km. Like the hatchback, it will have a front-wheel-drive layout, delivering approximately 156 PS of power and around 280 Nm of torque.
