Crowds throng Tiruchendur.. people wait for 7 hours to have darshan. What is the reason?
Tiruchendur: The crowd of devotees at the Tiruchendur Subramanya Swamy temple is getting bigger today. Since the entrance opened in the morning, the crowd has been huge, so the devotees have been waiting for 7 hours to have the darshan of the Lord.
There are six Murugan temples in tamil Nadu. The second temple is the Tiruchendur Subramanya Swamy Temple. A large number of devotees visit this temple located near the sea every day.
Especially, more devotees visit the temple on weekends, Saturdays, and Sundays, than on weekdays. Today is the last sunday of 2024. With the half-yearly exams over in schools and holidays, the crowd at the temple started increasing since yesterday. More devotees gathered at the temple as soon as the entrance opened this morning.
Following this, the devotees stood in a long queue and had the darshan of the Lord. Due to the large crowd, devotees had to wait in line for up to 7 hours to have the darshan of Lord Murugan. However, the devotees waited patiently in line and worshipped Lord Murugan.
Especially today, many devotees have come from various parts of tamil Nadu and even from outside the state. Many who had visited the Melmaruvathur Adi Parasakthi temple had also come to Tiruchendur. Due to this, more devotees were seen today than usual.
Earlier, devotees had bathed in the sea. Due to this, there was a large crowd on the beach. Due to the large crowd, the temple administration has provided the basic facilities required by the devotees. Drinking water and toilet facilities have been provided.
