A tesla vehicle caught fire and detonated outside President-elect Donald Trump's hotel in Las Vegas on Wednesday, killing one person and injuring seven more.
According to the Associated Press, officials from the Clark County fire Department and Las Vegas Metropolitan police claimed the dead was inside the vehicle and that they were attempting to remove his corpse.
Seven more persons are receiving treatment in a hospital after almost suffering minor injuries.
Around 8:40 a.m. (local time), the event happened in the valet area of the trump international Hotel in Las Vegas. Additionally, the roads next to the hotel were closed.
Social media videos show smoke rising from the opulent 64-story hotel. According to several media sources, the car was loaded with mortars that looked like fireworks. It is still unclear what caused the fire and the explosion that followed.
"I know you have a lot of questions," Jeremy Schwartz, acting FBI Special Agent in Charge for the Las Vegas office, was quoted as saying by AP. "We don't have a lot of answers."
