cm devendra fadnavis has shared a figure on social media in which maharashtra is seen on top in terms of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). cm fadnavis has presented the data of the last few years. devendra fadnavis shared the data on 'X' and wrote, "Maharashtra will not stop now! It is a great pleasure to say that our maharashtra is consistently leading in attracting foreign investment (FDI). Now the figures for the second quarter of the financial year 2024-25 ending in september have come out. In just six months, maharashtra has received foreign investment of Rs 1,13,236 crore.''

cm fadnavis further wrote, ''If we look at the average of the last 4 years, maharashtra has received an annual investment of Rs 1,19,556 crore, which means that 94.71 percent of the entire year's investment has come in just 6 months. I heartily congratulate Maharashtra. I assure you that under the leadership of my colleague deputy chief minister Eknath Shinde, deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar and the entire cabinet, this race of our maharashtra will continue like this.''

These states were in the top-10

After maharashtra, karnataka, gujarat, delhi, tamil Nadu, haryana, telangana, Jharkhand, rajasthan and West bengal are in the top-10 states of foreign direct investment. Four out of 10 states are those which are ruled by BJP. bjp is in power in maharashtra, gujarat, haryana and rajasthan, while other states are ruled by allies of the All india Alliance. maharashtra was also on top in terms of FDI in the financial year 2023-24. FDI in maharashtra was 31 percent, karnataka 21 percent, gujarat 16 percent, delhi 13 percent, tamil Nadu 5 percent, haryana 4 percent, telangana 4 percent, Jharkhand, rajasthan and West bengal one percent each.
