Metro extension from Janakpuri West to Krishnapuri Park
On sunday, the foundation stone of delhi Metro's Rithala to Kundli corridor, which comes in Phase 4, will be laid. At the same time, the extension of the Metro's Magenta Line from Janakpuri West to Krishnapuri Park will be inaugurated. That metro line will start working from Sunday. cm Atishi said that delhi Metro is a joint venture of delhi government and Central Government. The central government and delhi government have 50-50 percent participation in it.

The cm further said, "Since 2014-15, when the aam aadmi party government was formed in delhi, the work of the metro has gained momentum. In 2014-15, the total metro line in delhi was 193 km. In just ten years, the metro line doubled and in 2024-25, it increased from 193 km to 393 km. That is, in these ten years, 200 km of metro line was expanded." He said that in 2014-15, about 24 lakh passengers used to travel by delhi Metro daily, now more than 60 lakh passengers travel by delhi Metro every day. From 2015 to 2025, the delhi government has invested Rs 7,278 crore in delhi Metro.
