Out of the two children diagnosed with HMPV in Bengaluru, a three-month-old baby has already been discharged while an eight-month-old baby is recovering. Karnataka health Minister Dinesh Gundurao said in an interview:

People should not panic. The eight-month-old baby boy is doing well. He will be discharged on Tuesday. This is a pre-existing virus. This is not the first time it has been infected. Some people have respiratory problems due to the virus. This virus was first detected in the netherlands in 2001

We do not know if this case came from China. The children and their parents who are infected have not traveled anywhere abroad. They came from Tirupati. However, for the safety of the public, it is necessary to wear masks.
