In Nagpur, Maharashtra, two toddlers have tested positive with the Human Metapneumovirus (HMPV). Details show that the youngsters, ages 7 and 13, complained of fever and cough before being tested for the virus. The results of their reports were favorable.

At least four HMPV infection cases were found in tamil Nadu and karnataka on Monday. There was also one Gujarati instance documented.

The State and Union administrations, however, insisted that people shouldn't be concerned and assured them that the situation was being "closely monitored" by the authorities.

"The nation's health systems and surveillance network remain vigilant in ensuring the country is ready to respond promptly to any emerging health challenge," Union health Minister jp nadda stated in a video message. We are keeping a careful eye on the issue, so there's no need for concern.

Noting that the illnesses found are caused by virus types that are not life-threatening, the karnataka government urged citizens not to worry.
