Former prime minister Sheikh Hasina's passport revoked..!?

In our neighboring country, bangladesh, student organizations protested last year alleging that the government was biased in the issue of reservation. Violence broke out in many places. In this, more than 400 people were killed. Sheikh Hasina, who resigned as prime minister due to a severe crisis, secretly left the country and took refuge in India. Subsequently, an interim government was formed there under the leadership of economist Muhammad Yunus. Since the new government took office, there have been continuous attacks on temples, Hindu organizations, and minority Hindus there.
In this situation, the international criminal court yesterday issued an arrest warrant for the second time against former prime minister Sheikh Hasina in connection with the student protests in Bangladesh. An arrest warrant has been issued for prime minister Sheikh Hasina and others in a case filed for causing the mysterious disappearance of many people. There is a stir as an order has been issued to arrest all 11 people including Sheikh Hasina by february 12.


In this situation, today (Jan.,07) the bangladesh interim government has canceled the passport of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh. A total of 97 people have had their passports revoked. Of these, 22 face criminal charges. 75 face charges related to their involvement in killings during student protests in bangladesh last year.
